Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the administrative and technical management of a construction project. The Project Manager functions as the point person for the project and steers the project forward. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion and dedication to getting the job done.

RESPONSIBITITIES:

  • Supervise all activities related to contract administration, changes orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule.

  • Have thorough knowledge of company’s contracts and understanding of all parties involved.

  • Secure all required permits and verify insurance coverage for subs.

  • Supervise and manage project team members.

  • Train and develop direct reports to utilize on the job with internal and external training or development opportunities.

  • Have thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities; prepare and submit monthly job status reports.

  • Provide general administrative and technical leadership for the project. Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence.

  • Supervise close out of project.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner and engineering firms.

  • Participate in proposals and presentations as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field. Graduate degree in engineering or business is a plus.

  • At least 5 to 7 years construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large scale construction highly preferred.

  • Experience in managing projects successfully from start to finish.

  • Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subtractors.

Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer you will have the opportunity to develop skills in: project management, estimating, budget preparation and job cost control, scheduling and production rate tracking, safety management, quality control management, engineering and design support, business development and client relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

  • Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets (Excel, Word), cost control, and project management software. Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, and other construction programs preferred.

  • Ability to travel to project job sites.

  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

  • Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, integrating and aligning efforts within teams, monitoring results, and tackling problems directly.

  • Ability to work within a complex business as an active participant in driving growth and change; demonstrating effectiveness in driving operations and executing plans.

  • Development of written, oral, and listening skills in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.

  • Ability to efficiently manage a multitude of projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
